LoRaWAN enabled rodent traps communicate when a rodent has been caught. This allows for real time tracking and management of traps, and allows for removal of trapped rodents before they can escape or cause damage. It also saves on costs by reducing the need for physical checks. Rodent trap data can also be used to ensure that traps are only set in areas where rodents are present. Thanks to the extremely low cost and up to ten year battery life of LoRaWAN devices, the OPEX of LoRaWAN rodent traps is also very low.
